The 6-weeks winter break is about to end. During the break I spent all my time to rebuild my portfolio website and update all the works that I did in the past few years. When I reviewed my previous work, it reminded me how I started my design journey and developed my skills to become who I am today. It's a great reflection time to me,.
I was struggling about what I really want to do in UX. I felt a bit lost as if I didn't figure out what kind of designer I want to be. I questioned to myself whether I want to be a researcher or a designer or other roles. After talking to a few UX designers and sharing my frustrations, I feel relieved now and I understand exploration is part of my job to move on to find my destination.
During this period, I read a book
that inspired me a lot and I watched a few presentations from amazing designers on Youtube
which helps me a lot to find my direction.
I am now looking forward to the upcoming winter quarter and starting another UX project with other talented students!
